Jakub Żurkowski, born in 1997, is an artist rooted in the Opole region of Poland. He completed his studies at the Faculty of Art there, though he initially spent two years studying law. As he humorously puts it, he then "went left" and delved into queer art. His work explores themes related to pop culture and human sexuality, often characterized by bold, vibrant colors and a camp aesthetic. Jakub's art addresses the roles of women and men in society, as well as issues pertaining to the LGBT+ community, with which he is closely connected and actively supports through his work.

In 2023, he earned his master's degree at the Faculty of Art in Opole, under the guidance of Dr. hab. Aleksandra Giza. For his thesis, he created a series of posters depicting the seven deadly sins as seven gay men aiming to destroy the world through the "LGBT ideology." This work was, of course, satirical, serving as a pointed critique of right-wing, conservative ideologies. Jakub has also collaborated with Polish drag queens and other queer artists. His projects have been featured in various exhibitions, including the Spring Salons at the Opole Gallery of Contemporary Art (GSW Opole) and other venues across Poland.
